The Ninja Mindset

There Are Three Classes Of Levers

Class 1 Lever

A rigid body with the fulcrum located between the load and the effort. (seesaw)

Class 2 Lever

The fulcrum is at one end and the effort at the other, with the load between the fulcrum and the effort (wheelbarrow)

Class 3 Lever

The fulcrum is at one end and the load at the other with the effort between the fulcrum and the load. (tweezers)

3 Key Terms

In order to determine the work that each class performs and how to implement them we will need to discuss the following terms:

Mechanical Advantage
(MA)

(MA) The ratio of a system's output force to its input force.
a.k.a.- leverage

The 'Law Of The Lever'

Amplification of Force (MA<1)
When the effort(input force) is further from the fulcrum than the load

Amplification of Speed (MA>1)
When the load is further from the fulcrum than the effort.

Other (MA=1)
